Elementary Education at EFAC
Where Dual-Language Excellence Thrives

At the French American School of Chicago (EFAC), our Elementary education blends an accredited French curriculum with the comprehensive American curriculum.

From 1st through 5th grade, EFAC stands out as a premier bilingual French school in Chicago, offering a unique educational journey.

Dual-Language Learning: Our students are immersed in both the American and French educational systems, receiving fifteen hours of instruction per week in our French section (3 hours a day), adhering to the rigorous standards of the French Ministry of Education.

A Day in the Life at EFAC’s Elementary Program:

Each school day, EFAC students start at 7:50 AM.

Transitioning between French and American classes, they engage in a curriculum that’s both rigorous and enriching, with the day concluding at 3:45 PM.

Beyond academics, students have the chance to dive into extracurricular activities, from arts to sports, fostering their talents and interests in a supportive environment.

This balance of intensive learning and personal development is what sets EFAC apart as a leading French American School in Chicago, underlined by the crucial role of family support and community engagement.
